Hold onto your brains; it's time for HeadTrip. The hard-hitting ensemble collects the myriad talents of Andre Garcia (vocals), Evan Carroll (Guitar), Flip Diaz (Drums), and Coren Warden (bass).

HeadTrip has multiple forays into the music world under its belt, including the 2022 EP Empty Avenues.

In 2023, HeadTrip reignited their creative flame with a new self-titled project. The Head Trip EP saw the band team up with producer Seth Henderson, and it marked a new direction for the band.

"We wanted to get back to the music we grew up listening to, bands like The Wonder Years, A Day to Remember, and The Story So Far. Musically we wanted to write songs that people could sing along to, more melodic. And lyrically a focus on internal conflicts rather than external ones."

This outlook shines through in the track "Wasting Time," layered with tasteful harmonies and driven home by a forceful guitar track over which Garcia's vocals soar into the emo version of kingdom come.

Shortly following the release of their self-titled EP, HeadTrip signed with Oakley Avenue Records. It gave the band a spark of momentum.

"There is something special going on in Chicago right now," they say. "Every band is at the top of their game, and the community has never been stronger.
